Volleyball Tour starts in Monterrey
MEXICO CITY, Mexico, August 30 2013.-After being
announced officially by the Mexican Volleyball Federation, the
first stop of the Mexican Beach Volleyball Tour has just begun.
A total of eight cities are part of this tour
that has de goal of preparing the best beach volleyball players
in both genders across the country to be part of the National
Teams and to represent Mexico at the Norceca International Beach
Volleyball Circuit Finals.
The first stop that started on Friday at the
State High Performance Center of Nuevo Leon and will conclude on
September first. The second stop will be played in Toluca from
September 6 thru 8; while Mexico City will host the third date
on September 27-29.
Puerto Vallarta, the city that hosted this sport
at the 2011 Pan American Games will receive the fourth stop of
the tour by the end of October (25-27) and Acapulco will host it
from November 8-10.
By the second half of November the National tour
will move to Manzanillo, a beach that was also part of the
Norceca International Tour. The dates are scheduled on the 22nd
to the 24th.
The final two stops will be Veracruz and Mazatlan
on December. Veracruz, that is expected to host the Central
American and Caribbean Games in 2014, will receive the Mexican
players from the 6th to the 8th, and the tour will have its
finals from the 20th to the 22nd.
The tour is open in all categories and has a
100,000 mexican pesos (approximately 9,000 USD) purse in awards
on each date and is part of the preparation to the 2016 Olympic
Cycle, according to the National Faderation. |
