NORCECA Executive Committee and Board to meet in Santo Domingo

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 23, 2014 – The NORCECA Executive Committee and Board of Administration will meet at the headquarters of the organization in Santo Domingo, the capital of Dominican Republic, from April 25-27.

During the three-meetings chaired by NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, the members of these two bodies will be discussing, among other topics, all the proposals submitted by the different commissions of the volleyball institution.

Those commissions –Development, Sport Organization, Beach Volleyball, Technical and Coaches, Press, Medical, VIS and Statistics, Refereeing, Marketing, Legal and Finance- met earlier this year in Santo Domingo.

“We are looking forward to have very productive meetings as it has been the case in the past, with the expertise of all the members of the Executive Committee and Board of Administration,” Marte Hoffiz said on Wednesday.

“We have very busy days ahead but I am sure that we will be able to fulfill the agenda in program and to continue working in favor of the growth of NORCECA as an institution and in favor of the development of the sport in all the country members,” Marte Hoffiz added.

The members of the Executive Committee and Board of Administration are scheduled to arrive on Thursday with the departure on Monday.

The members of the Executive Committee are:

Marte Hoffiz, President; Saul Castro, 1st Executive Vice President, Doug Beal, 2nd Executive Vice President; Hugh Wong, Mushtaque Mohammed, Glenn Quinlan and Marta Centeno de Sajche, Vice Presidents, and Jose Luis Jimenez, General Scretary.

They are joined in the Board of Administration by Betha Cuadra, Nelson Pérez Cruz, Lucille Hobson, Mireya Luis, Sabine Clement, Wilbur Harrigan, Warrenton Dixon and Jesus Prieto.
