attacks. It feels good to be qualified but it is best to do it
in first place” said Thonya Joseph of Barbados.
Anita Lansdell of Cayman Islands expressed “we are trying to
work on our fundamentals and hopefully with a good rest we can
make a better match tomorrow against Aruba”.
Andrew Brathwaite, Barbados’ coach was pleased with their second
win “we did what we came here to do and that was to qualify to
the second round, so that pressure is off our backs. Our attack
was much better and the girls get stronger every time giving
each rally its merit without disrespecting the opponent”.
“The result wasn’t as good as against Jamaica but the team is
growing, their defense improved, there were less errors in our
serves but we must work on our blocking. We have to stay focused
and plan for tomorrow’s matches to qualify” said Keith Higgins,
Cayman Island’s coach. |
