Opening Ceremony International Course for Level 1 Coaches

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 28, 2023.- An International Course for Level 1 Coaches organized by the NORCECA/FIVB Volleyball Regional Development Center in Santo Domingo, sponsored by the National Physichal Educatioin Institute (INFEI), the NORCECA Confederation and the International Volleyball Federation, which will conclude on Friday October 1. 

31 coaches are taking part of the course, from Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curazao, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic, conducted by Instructor Juan Cartagena of Puerto Rico.

Attending the opening ceremony were Garibaldi Bautista president of the Dominican National Olympic Committee, Ángel Rivas president of the National Distrit Volleyball Association, international instructor Juan Manuel Cartagena and professor Nelson José Ramírez director of the Regional Development Center.

The president of the Dominican National Olympic Committee Garibaldi Bautista motivated the participants to put in practice all the knowledge they will acquire in benefit of volleyball in their respective countries, recognizing the Development Center´s great work and that is why FEDOVOLI is one of the Federations that has developed the most, obtaining great international results.

International instructor Juan Cartagena of Puerto Rico explained that the FIVB has recognized the quality of the Center, which is an example for volleyball around the world, and personally as well, preparing a great number of Coaches from members of the NORCECA Confederation.

Ángel Rivas representing FEDOVOLI congratulated all the participants for their efforts in taking this important course and hopes that all of them finish with the best grades.
