Second gold for Mexico in Boqueron

 

Boquerón, Puerto Rico, 21 September 2014 - Juan Virgen and Lombardo Ontiveros of Mexico won its first medal in 2014 and its second gold medal in Puerto Rico for second year in a row at Balneario de Boquerón by defeating Sam Pedlow and Grant or ' Gorman 22-20 and 21-14 in the final at the beaches in Boquerón de eighth NORCECA circuit Beach 2014

 

Juan Virgen and Lombardo Ontiveros reached its second eighth Gold Medal of the season, the third as a couple on the tour as well as Bibiana added his 11th Crown in the history of the tour.

 

Mexico stopped on the way to the Canadian pair number 2. Garret May and Daniel Dearingz to reach the end in a victory in three partial 13-21, 21-12, 15-11.

 

Sam Pedlow and Grant or ' Gorman paved his way to the final when he beat in the semi-finals to the local duo of Roberto Rodríguez and Erik Haddock in a victory in three partial 21-17, 14-21 and 15-12 in 53 minutes on the hot sands of boqueron.

 

Mexicans swept boqueron gold when Bibiana Candelas and Marta Revuelta early obtained the victory of the women's final to Mexico take home two eighth Beach 2014 NORCECA circuit gold medals in both genders of the Circuit held in the tourism Capital of Puerto Rico "Cabo Rojo".

 

"We are very happy to win the Boqueron event and has more value because it is the first championship of the 2014" just said the top leader of victories in the NORCECA circuit Juan Virgen of Mexico. He added to his victory "the first set was very tight but in the second we changed the strategy that led us to an open victory"

 

Bronze medal stayed home and reaching the podium for the sixth time and gets his third bronze medal from 2014 to Roberto Rodríguez and Erik Haddock who defeated the team number two CAN 2 May / Deering
