USA and Canada led NORCECA teams in Poland

 

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – The USA and Canada finished as the most distinguished men’s team from NORCECA Confederation at the FIVB World Championship held in Poland. The two teams shared the seventh position in the final standings.

 

The Americans came up short by one point to tie with Iran for the third position in Pool E. The USA totaled 14 points from a 4-3 win-loss record while Iran finished with 15 points and a 5-2 record.

 

They had ended third in Pool D with 9 points behind the teams of France and Iran.

 

Canada also concluded fourth in their second round pool of 10 points after a strong showing in the first round when they finished second behind Russia in Pool C.

 

Cuba finished fourth in Pool B (11th in the final standings), Mexico was fifth in Pool C (17th overall) while Puerto Rico was sixth in Pool D (21st in the final ranking).
