USA Claim gold, Dominican Republic finish with silver

TIJUANA, Mexico, August 11 2012— The United States claimed the Gold Medal at the Women’s U18 Continental Championship after beating the Dominican Republic at the final match 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-23 y 25-15). Simone Lee totalized 18 points for the American team while Carli Snyder, who became the MVP registered 17. Christian Jones was the champion team best scorer with 10 points. More  Español

Brayelin Martínez, records double digit in victory against Mexico

TIJUANA, México, Agosto 10, 2012. — Brayelin Martínez scored a total of 27 puntos in the victory of Dominican Republic against México in the semifinals.  The Dominicans won in 3 sets (25-22, 25-22, 25- 2) and qualified to the final to play for the gold medal against USA. TIJUANA, Mexico, August 10, 2012 — The United States qualified to the Finals at the Norceca Women’s U18 Continental Championship, after beating Puerto Rico 3-1 (26-24, 25-13, 19-25, 25-13).
